Classis super hero story that is a must read for scifi/superhero fans

Very rarely if ever have a reread a book but Wild Cards 1 is one of those rare books. Well, full disclosure here, I actually listened to it as an audiobook this time. Wild Cards 1 is a must read classic super hero story from 1987 that still is great. The book consists of a collection of short stories about super powered Aces and mutated Jokers that were transformed by an alien virus.    Several of the stories were great such as those about Dr. Tachyon, the alien that couldn't prevent the release of the virus but...

Corporate reallocation missions = legal piracy but a pirated world bites back

Fallen Dragon is a scifi story about Lawrence, a young military man, who works for an organization involved in "corporate reallocation" which basically means legal piracy. Much of this 26 hour audiobook focuses on Lawrence's background as a rudderless teen who falls in love with a girl he meets at a hotel swimming pool and his later missions in the military.   I think with faster pacing this book would have been much better. And yes, I also read the other seven book series based on the same world and characters called The Saga of Seven Suns. After ten books I have come to realize that the...

Playful space romp

This is a quick romp in outer space that has an interesting premise --The Earth woman as teacher and almost mother to an artificial intelligence. There is more action than usual in a romance, but a bit of romance is there. I found this book to be enjoyable, but very light read.
